Welcome to the Laboratory of Reproductive Endocrinology in the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Florida.

Led by Dr. Alan D. Ealy, this laboratory focuses on investigating the physiological, endocrine, and molecular events associated with embryo development, placental gene expression, and the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy in cattle and other ruminants. The goal of this lab is to better understand the basic biochemical events required for pregnancy to proceed to term so that schemes for limiting embryonic loss in livestock species can be developed.
