Overall Course Description: This class will discuss ways that hormones affect whole body functions in animals. Emphasis will be placed on gaining an understanding of how various hormones affect homeostasis, development, growth, metabolism, and reproduction from a physiologic and cell biology perspective. The course will use the human as the model species for most material and numerous examples from a various mammalian species will be included in discussions.
