pair of
connected buildings located on Shealy Drive. When coming down SW 16th Ave, turn at the
light at the intersection of the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Webb
Livestock Pavilion. The Animal Science and Dairy Science Buildings, which are served by
the Gainesville Bus System, are a pair of brick buildings at the end of the road on the right.
Animal Science is the first building (to the north) and Dairy Science is the second building (to
the south). The bus stops at Animal Science. Click here for a map.
Animal Science Sheep Barn (Building 466)
The
Sheep Barn is one of a series of buildings located behind the Animal Nutrition

Map with Directions (pdf)
1. From Gainesville, drive north on US 441
towards Alachua.
2. The turnoff for the DRU
is County Road 237. This road is also marked by a sign that says
Hague. It is approximately 6 miles from the Highway Patrol Station at the corner of US 441 and
SR121 (34th St.) to CR237. Make a right at CR237.
3. After turning on CR237, you will immediately come to the town of Hague. Drive through
Hague, cross the railroad tracks and go about 1/2 mile. The DRU will be on the right. There will be a UF sign identifying the
DRU at the entrance. Turn right.
4. Proceed down the long drive to the main building which is at the end of the drive. At this point, the drive forms a circle in
front of the main building and there is a sign with a painting of a Holstein in the center of the circle. You are there. Park
your car in the parking lot on the left and wait for Dr. Hansen.
Note there are some landmarks on US 441 to let you know you are on the right path. The first landmark is Deerhaven
power plant on the right. When you see the Fast-Track convenience store on the right, you are very close (<1 mile). This
will be followed by Turkey Creek subdivision on the left and a trailer park on the right. CR237 is on the right opposite
the Farm Credit Union Building on the left.
