COURSE DESCRIPTION: Critical evaluation, presentation and
discussion of recent journal articles on topic of interest related to animal
molecular and/or cellular biology.
Students will discuss hypotheses, experimental designs, results and
conclusions and how they relate to animal biology.
PREREQUISITES: Approval from instructor
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
To understand current methodologies for conducting
research in the field of animal biology.
To discuss and critically
evaluate the current literature in the field of molecular and cellular biology.
To explore applications of
current technologies in the field of animal biology.
To improve oral
presentation skills, critical thinking, critical evaluation and discussion of
current literature.
READING: Selected papers
from the current literature will be discussed during the semester.
GRADING: S/U
