Focus

The main interest of the lab is improving livestock production and reproductive efficiencies through artificial reproductive technologies. Research projects with nuclear transfer are directed towards improving efficiencies of this technology and used to expand numbers of genetically valuable animals.  Additional efforts towards developing strategies for preimplantation genetic diagnosis are being pursued as another means to improve reproductive efficiencies. Our research is across all domestic livestock species, but we primarily utilize cattle as the model system.
