Florida 4-H Horse Shows
Each year 4-H clubs across the state hold countless local and county horse shows. In the spring, each of the six Areas have a qualification show to determine who will be able to participate at the State show. Only the top 57% from each Area qualify to go to State. Moving up through the levels of 4-H Horse Shows is a very competitive process and requires good sportsmanship and a thorough knowledge of all the rules by everyone involved.
The Official Rules for the Area and State 4-H Horse Shows are distributed to counties at the beginning of each year in sufficient quantities so that everyone who participates in 4-H horse shows may have his/her own rulebook. For your reference, the 2008 Florida State 4-H Horse Show Official Rules is available for downloading.
